David Porterfield, CEO of Micro Harmonics Corporation, wrote a paper for IEEE on a new broadband hybrid circulator that has been developed for use at millimeter-wave (MMW) frequencies. The hybrid circulator comprises a Faraday rotator and an orthomode transducer (OMT) which work together to produce the circulator function. These patent-pending designs can cover 24% fractional bandwidths with low insertion loss and more than 20 dB of isolation. Read the full paper here.
