Micro Harmonics’ mm-wave orthomode transducers (OMT) cover full waveguide bands. They are precision machined, gold plated, compact, and lightweight. Sophisticated measurement protocols enable us to accurately characterize all OMT performance parameters. We can thus confidently claim that our OMTs exhibit the best performance in the industry in terms of low cross-polarization, low insertion loss, and high isolation.

The Table below shows a list of currently available OMT models with links to data sheets. Additional models are under development to provide coverage in every standard waveguide band from WR-15 to WR-2.8 (50-400 GHz).

The primary function of an orthomode transducer (OMT) is to separate and combine signals based on their polarization. Polarization refers to the orientation of the electric field of a wave, and OMTs are designed to handle orthogonal polarizations, such as horizontal and vertical. By doing this, an OMT can efficiently split a single incoming signal of arbitrary polarization into two distinct orthogonally polarized components or combine two orthogonally polarized signals into one output.
